I’m a writer from northern Michigan and currently based in Osaka, Japan.  

I’ve written about travel both within and outside Japan, as well as Japanese culture and life in Japan. I’ve also published articles and press releases about scientific research happening at Japanese universities. 

I currently work as a science writer at Kyoto University. I studied German and Environmental Science at the University of Michigan and hold an MSc in Comparative Literature from the University of Edinburgh. 

Besides the US, Scotland, and Japan, I have also spent time studying in Germany and teaching English in Austria.
